The Tamil webseries SUZHAL- THE VORTEX by @brammaofficial & @anucharan.m mystically pulls us into the maze in search of the real culprit. We get equally involved with investigators in the act of decoding people's mannerisms & situational clues. Each episode proves that our interpretations based on characters' behaviour were terribly wrong. Among suspense heightened by magnetizing bgm scores for Mayana Kollai ritual, themes of strong parental bond, blinding romance & sexual abuse, the crime thriller has life lessons in store. The staggering 1:05 minutes short scene where Sub-Inspector Sakkarai evaluates the absurdity of his findings has a purpose.

Trilok Vadde is found to be the perpetrator as we mistake his behaviour & club it with his background. While the world at large rightly condemns racism, we should also not categorize fair complexioned & rich people as potential villains.
Sakkarai's confessions that he was wrong to judge others from their words & mannerisms is a reminder. We often forget to treat our fellow beings as HUMANS & see them for what they are. Let experience be our best teacher and not stereotypical assumptions. Race, gender, religion, caste and profession should not blind us in recognizing the human being next to us. Behind anger, questionable decisions & looks of a person, there could be a genuine soul. Let Sakkarai's words be the driving force to UNLEARN the ways to judge others.

  I await here for my husband-cum-travel companion to pick me from school. Twilight colors are spreading slowly. Birds signal one another that it’s time to settle down in their tiny nests. I had been waiting in the Administrative block of MG University since morning to get my equivalency certificate. I helplessly joined the band of commoners who were at the mercy of busy officers. Three hours had lapsed. But there was no sign of getting my paper signed. Technology was equally helpless in rescuing me from the boredom that set in. ‘Anne with an E’mpact  I sit here, mesmerized of the experience rendered by the Netflix series ‘ Anne with an E ’, a brilliant adaptation of the classic novel ‘ Anne of Green Gables ’ by Lucy Maud Montgomery. The book published way back in 1908 is meant for all ages despite the given classification ‘Children’s Literature’, or why would a 32ish me still go gaga over it? I am unsure if you would deem me unfit for a review if I told you that I’ve only watched the series and not read the book. Nevertheless, I am here pouring out my heart’s content for I’m profoundly touched by the series and feel at a loss that it ended. Anne with an E.
