Reasons to Love Pen-pencils/ Stackable pencils/ Push pencils🤩

Why Pen-pencil/ Stackable pencil/ Push pencil is One Among Our Favourite School Memories?

It tugged my eyes and heart in one of those rounds in the class ,discussing question answers. I had to stop. What hooked me was no ordinary thing. Possessing this was everyone's dream once. If you had this, you were no less than a King or Queen( I must have exaggerated that part.. but close enough). As far as I remember, it was special- the 'pen-pencil'! One of my students had it on her table.
With dropped jaws and open text in one hand, I studied the pen-pencil. It was hard to believe it still exists. It was colorful and translucent. Promising and sharp lead tips waited inside stacked, to see the world. It was crowned with a cap with an adorable tiny eraser with another cap of its ownnnn!! (All this for a pencil). Enough to make any kid fall head over heels for it.

Procuring pen-pencil wasn't easy as a child. You had to be in your best behaviours to please your guardians to buy this. A new pen-pencil  won't be bought unless you finish the entire stack of leads. I bet everyone who has used this once were impatient to experiment with the sharp tipped lead nib. Replacing the stack of nibs was one of the pastimes. If you had a blue pen-pencil, you wished for the pink colored one your friend brought. All the colours were tempting. It was magical even after owning it.

From the class on Mary Kom, the Unstoppable Queen of Boxing, I took a short break and unleashed my stack of memories of good old days with the students. They laughed. What's there to fancy this, they must've thought. Many of them owned the pen-pencil it seems.
I asked the students why they liked it. Some prefer its sharp tip, some the smoothness, some the convenience of not having to sharpen it. Finally when they asked me my reason for liking (loving) the pen-pencil, I had no 'practical' answer. I just loved it. It was pure magic.

The next day one of the students brought her pen-pencil. She placed it in my palms and rushed to catch school bus. It was in red color, the one I never owned. Was it a gift? I wouldn't know. Magical again.
Edit: Yes it was a gift❤️. Guess what..I got another one in yellow few days later. "Because you love it so much ma'am", the kid said.💛
