The Best School Memory

MEMOIRS OF SCHOOL 🏫 I was suggested to write about my best school memory. A piece of cake I thought. But as  I sit down to pen that one particular moment, I realize I am at a loss. Looking back, each day had threads of gold stitched into it. Be it being caned by teachers in class or receiving a certificate in the assembly, every moment had its charm. Some of you must disagree, for I haven’t lived the life for others and generalization is foolish. Yet, there is an intuition which tells me that school days are what all of us wish to live once again, to wear that uniform and sit in our old classroom, if given a chance. Can you recollect the day you set foot on the grounds of your alma mater, teary eyed and anxious, the place where you befriended AB..CD…EFG and numbers? The Parent Trap- Review of a Fangirl If I were to pick the one movie that I would watch again tirelessly, it would be the 1998 American film 'The Parent Trap'. The Nancy Meyers directed rom-com stars Lindsay Lohan playing the role of adorable twins. I watched the film as a 13-14 year old in Star Movies channel beside my father.  As a teenager, the movie bowled me over. I was glittery eyed for the English lifestyle, London streets, the antics of the twins Hallie and Annie who discovered each other at a summer camp, the subtle yet necessary interventions from the servants and the adorable tricks both play and switch places to reunite their separated parents. Their language, costumes, lifestyle mixed with cuteness won my heart. So you see, it is not just the parents who are trapped. Lindsay stayed on as one of my favorite actresses for quite some time.
